ALOHA Asia Pacific Limited Launches “ALOHA 2030” Sustainability Initiative, Aims to be Asia Pacific’s Green Hospitality Pioneer

[HONG KONG, June 9, 2025] – As a cornerstone of its long-term corporate social responsibility strategy, ALOHA Asia Pacific Limited today unveiled its ambitious “ALOHA 2030” sustainability initiative. This comprehensive plan outlines a series of detailed Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) targets designed to redefine the paradigm of sustainable operations for luxury hospitality in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to the initiative, ALOHA commits to achieving three core goals across all its managed properties by 2030:

  1. Achieve Operational “Net-Zero Carbon Emissions”: Through investments in onsite solar generation, procurement of 100% Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), and a comprehensive upgrade of Building Management Systems (BMS) for maximum energy efficiency.
  2. Eliminate Single-Use Plastics Entirely: Introduce biodegradable alternatives made from renewable materials by local communities, and co-develop an AI-driven logistics system with technology partners to optimize supply chains and reduce waste.
  3. Increase Local Sourcing to 50%: Extending beyond ingredients to include hotel amenities, staff uniforms, and decor items, thereby supporting local economies and significantly reducing the carbon footprint associated with procurement transportation.

ALOHA’s Chief Operating Officer stated, “The word ‘ALOHA’ itself embodies a reverence for nature and the wisdom of harmonious coexistence. ‘ALOHA 2030’ is not merely an environmental statement; it is a gene embedded in every future operational decision we make. We believe that the truly luxurious experience is inextricably linked to a sustainable future. Despite the significant initial investment, we regard this as the most critical and astute investment in our brand’s future value.”

The first pilot phases of the initiative are set to launch in the fourth quarter of this year at three of ALOHA’s resorts in Thailand and Bali.
